Replace some teeth

Partial dentures in Strathfield

Acrylic and cast-metal partial dentures that replace missing teeth, protect the teeth you still have and are made to fit comfortably alongside them.

Overview

About partial dentures

Removable partial dentures are for patients who are missing some teeth on an arch. Acrylic partials are a cost-effective, simple solution. Cast-metal partials are more precise, stronger and longer lasting, with a slimmer framework that many patients find more comfortable.

Partial dentures do not harm your remaining natural teeth. They are designed to be removed at night, which helps keep your gums and remaining teeth healthy.

2

Design and impressions

The framework and clasps are designed to sit securely around your natural teeth. Impressions are taken for the laboratory.

Questions

Common questions about partial dentures

Acrylic or cast-metal partial denture, which is better?

Acrylic partials are simpler and lower in cost. Cast-metal partials are stronger, thinner and last longer, and they distribute chewing forces more evenly. We recommend the option that suits your mouth, remaining teeth and budget at your free consultation.

Will a partial denture damage my other teeth?

No. A well-designed partial rests on your gums and natural teeth without harming them. Removing it at night and keeping both the denture and your teeth clean protects your oral health.

Can a partial denture be added to if I lose another tooth?

Often, yes. Teeth can frequently be added to an existing partial denture. We assess this case by case.

Do you repair partial dentures?

Yes. Broken clasps, cracked bases and lost teeth can usually be repaired, often with same-day pick-up.
