Denture repairs and relines in Strathfield

Broken, cracked or loose denture? Our on-site laboratory means most repairs and relines are ready for same-day pick-up.

Overview

About denture repairs and relines

Because our laboratory is inside the clinic, we can repair cracked bases, broken or lost teeth and damaged clasps quickly, usually the same day. Please call ahead so we can set aside laboratory time for you.

A reline refits the base of your existing denture to the current shape of your gums. As bone and gum tissue change over time, a denture that once fitted well can become loose. Relining restores comfort and stability without the cost of a new denture, provided the denture teeth and base are still in good condition.

  • Your denture has cracked, chipped or lost a tooth
  • Your denture has become loose, rocks or traps food underneath
  • A clasp on your partial denture has bent or broken

What to expect

Your visits, step by step

1

Call us first

Tell us what has happened so we can book laboratory time. Bring all the pieces of a broken denture with you.

2

Assessment

We check whether a repair or reline is the right option, or whether the denture is due for replacement, and give you a quote.

3

Repair or reline

Repairs are completed in our laboratory. For a reline, an impression is taken inside your existing denture and the base is refitted.

4

Same-day pick-up in most cases

Most repairs and relines are ready the same day. We check the fit before you leave.

Questions

Common questions about denture repairs and relines

Can you really repair my denture the same day?

In most cases, yes. Because the laboratory is on site, simple repairs and relines are usually ready for same-day pick-up. Please call first so we can allocate the time.

Can I glue my denture myself?

Please do not. Household glues damage the acrylic, can be harmful in the mouth and often make a professional repair harder. Keep the pieces and bring them to us.

How do I know if I need a reline or a new denture?

If your denture is loose but the teeth and base are in good condition, a reline usually restores the fit. If the teeth are badly worn or the base is cracked or thin, a new denture is the better long-term option. We advise you honestly at the assessment.

Do I need an appointment for a repair?

A quick phone call is all we need. It lets us reserve laboratory time so your repair is not delayed.
